Sustainability
For Elfac, sustainability means acting responsibly. This applies to the consistent quality of our deliveries as well as to the wider environment and the working environment.
At Elfac A/S, we see sustainability as a natural part of the way we do business. It is not about fine words, but about responsible choices in everyday work. We work continuously to reduce our environmental impact, take responsibility for our employees and ensure proper conditions in our cooperation with customers and suppliers.
For a number of years, we have worked actively with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Among other results, this work has led to certification under ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Environment and climate
We work systematically to optimise our production and internal processes with a focus on lower resource consumption, better energy efficiency and reduced CO₂ emissions. This includes waste sorting and the reduction of waste, energy-efficient solutions in our operations, and responsible handling of materials throughout their life cycle, from purchasing to disposal.
We comply with applicable legislation and environmental standards, and we set relevant environmental requirements throughout our value chain.
Social responsibility
A safe and decent working environment is a prerequisite for a healthy business. Wellbeing, safety and ethical conduct are therefore central to our work with CSR and sustainability. We place emphasis on an inclusive workplace with room for diversity, where employees have the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.
Elfac A/S is owned by Lagercrantz Group AB, which is listed on NASDAQ Stockholm. We work in accordance with the Lagercrantz Group Code of Conduct, which sets the framework for responsible business conduct.
Responsible value chain
We work with suppliers and partners who share our approach to quality, responsibility and sustainability. Through dialogue and long-term relationships, we ensure that requirements for legislation, ethics, working environment and environmental considerations are built into the entire supply chain, from raw material to finished product.
Long service life and quality
As a subcontractor of cable and wire harness assemblies, we manufacture solutions that are specified and designed by the customer, including the choice of materials and bills of materials. We deliver precise and reliable production. Where relevant, we contribute our knowledge and experience to ensure solutions that are functional, dependable in operation and durable.
The products are manufactured with a focus on quality, functionality and long service life. When solutions last longer and can be used flexibly, the need for replacement is reduced, and with it the consumption of resources. In this way, well-considered solutions support a more responsible use of materials and energy.
We see sustainability as the result of consistent work and continuous improvement. We therefore monitor our efforts closely, document the results and adjust our processes where needed, so that ambitions are turned into concrete action.
